About the Event

Thirty miles from Kansas City in March 1955, a snowstorm forces a bus of exhausted passengers to shelter for the night in a small-town diner. When two cowboys, an aspiring singer, a college professor, a local sheriff and a bus driver share the dark hours with the diner’s owner and her teenage waitress,

relationships — both romantic and platonic — are revealed and examined. With dramatic and comedic touches, this Tony Award-nominated play reveals “something beguiling about this forlorn slice of Americana, which meditates on the distances between towns and the distances between people.” (The Guardian)
