About the Event
TMTO: Bye Bye Birdie
Inspired by Elvis Presley and his 1957 draft notice, this Tony Award-winning show still delights audiences over 50 years later. When rock n’ roll idol Conrad Birdie receives his draft notice, agent and songwriter Albert Burns, and his secretary and sweetheart Rosie Alvarez, hatch a plan. Birdie will sing Albert’s song “One Last Kiss” on The Ed Sullivan Show, and kiss one lucky girl from his fan club before heading overseas. That lucky girl is Kim MacAfee from Sweet Apple, Ohio, and when Birdie comes callin’, the town will never be the same. “Put on a Happy Face” and head to the Craterian to see this enduring musical comedy!
