About the Event

“This is a sure-fire, laugh-out-loud ticket that everyone who loves good manners and live theater should have.” (Houston Press). Playwright and screenwriter Jeffrey Hatcher recalls his almost 10-year-old self in 1967 Steubenville and the etiquette lessons learned from the comically formidable and enigmatic Mrs. Mannerly at her School of Manners. His uproariously uncouth classmates may just keep young Jeffrey from uncovering the controlling Mrs. Mannerly’s secret past in this semi-autobiographical comedy. Your attendance is expected at “the most ingenious and hilarious new play of the new year!” (Houston Chronicle).
